The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday (January 18) alleged that former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's car was attacked during election campaigning. The party has alleged that supporters of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Parvesh Verma threw a brick at Kejriwal's car. Verma was also campaigning at the time.

AAP has claimed that the attack was orchestrated by BJP candidate Parvesh Verma's supporters, who allegedly aimed to intimidate Kejriwal amid rising tensions ahead of the assembly elections.

Delhi Police clarified that it can neither grant nor reject such permission at this time as all permissions for political activities are granted through a single window system in the concerned DEO office.

Sharing a clip of the incident, the AAP wrote on 'X', "Fearing defeat, BJP panicked, got its goons to attack Arvind Kejriwal. BJP candidate Pravesh Verma's goons attacked Arvind Kejriwal with bricks and stones while he was campaigning and tried to hurt him so that he could not campaign."

As Delhi gears up for the 2025 elections, Arvind Kejriwal accuses the BJP of plagiarizing AAP's welfare promises. With both parties promising cash schemes for women, the election landscape is heating up.
