School threats are on the rise after a Jan. 22 shooting left two dead, including the shooter, and one injured at Antioch High School. After a deadly shooting rocked the community and halted classes at Antioch High School for nearly a week, the return of students Tuesday started and ended the same way — with protest.

Two local students were arrested in unrelated cases for making school threats Thursday. In the first case, Dorrian Harp, an 18-year-old student at Hunters Lane High School, allegedly admitted to telling another student in his class on Tuesday that he would shoot up the school the next day.

Threats against schools and institutions are taken very seriously by the MNPD. Those responsible, once identified, will be prosecuted.”
