Democrats unveiled the Taxpayer Data Protection Act in response to Elon Musk and DOGE accessing private citizens' Social Security data.

Democrats rallied against billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk, who also heads up President Trump’s “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE), outside the Social Security Administration’s headquarters in Baltimore.

If the wrong person gained access to personal financial information held by the U.S. Treasury, it would constitute the biggest data breach in history.
