Ride-hail giant Lyft plans to bring fully autonomous robotaxis, powered by Mobileye, to its app “as soon as 2026” in Dallas, with more markets to follow,

Lyft is scrambling to compete as Uber racks up autonomous vehicle (AV) partners. On Monday, Lyft said it partnered with Japanese conglomerate Marubeni to bring robotaxis to Dallas roads as soon as next year before expanding to “thousands of vehicles” in other cities.

Ridesharing giant Lyft CEO David Risher has said that his company is teaming with Israeli advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS) company Mobileye Global Inc (Nasdaq: MBLY) to launch robotaxis in Dallas in 2026. The plan was first reported by "TechCrunch," which said that more markets would follow.
