Actor Saif Ali Khan sustained a serious injury to his spine while trying to protect his family from the intruder.

The police said Mr. Khan was recovering in the hospital after an intruder attacked him. He sustained a major injury to his spinal cord, a doctor said.

Lilavati Hospital doctors said Saif Ali Khan’s parameters have improved and he has been shifted from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to a special room.
