On Tuesday, Tidjane Salaün made his first-ever NBA start for the Hornets versus the New York Knicks. Salaün had come off the bench and produced solid results prior to being added to the starting lineup.

Penciled in as a key piece of the Hornets’ young core, the 19-year-old Frenchman Salaün is slowly getting acclimated to his new environment.

Salaun was inserted into the starting five for Seth Curry on Tuesday, and the former got an extended look with a game-high 37 minutes of playing time. The rookie first-round pick is expected to come off the bench for the start of the 2024-25 regular season,
