Ahead of a planned wider release, EA will be pulling Plants Vs Zombies 3 from sale and shutting down its servers, resetting all progress back to zero.

EA and PopCap have announced that they're taking Plants vs. Zombies 3 offline in order to put a "major overhaul" into effect.

Plants vs Zombies 3 will go offline and get a "major overhaul" following feedback from the app's "soft launch", which began back in January. The undead tower defense threequel is now no longer available to download from the iPhone App Store and Google Play,
