Kohl's has announced the closure of more than two dozen stores across the U.S., including one in Texas. The department store chain said Thursday the 27 underperforming stores will be closed by April.

The 27 stores closing are ones which were underperforming, Kohl's said. Ten of those stores are in California.

Department store retailer Kohl's says they'll close 27 underperforming stores and a fulfillment center by April, including two in San Diego County and one in Los Angeles County.

The closings come as the Wisconsin-based chain had 11 consecutive quarters of sales declines and faces new leadership.
