Given the hedgehog's popularity and the success of the movie, more projects featuring the character are likely on the way. In fact, one of these could use a contentious video game as its basis.

Shadow's story in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 gets more attention than the titular character's, which proves that the series focuses more on new characters.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 writers did a great job on the recent film and the franchise just received a greenlight for a fourth movie. Aside from Sonic 4, the scriptwriters are eyeing making a movie adaptation of a game from one of the popular franchises - The Legend of Zeld a.

“There's no real formula to that, per se,” admits Miller as he and his creative partner sit down with me over to Zoom to discuss the third entry in Paramount’s Sega-inspired series, which is very close to passing $1 billion in ticket sales worldwide.

We can confirm that Sonic the Hedgehog 3 has two credit scenes – and you absolutely do not want to miss them. The first one comes straight after the title at the end of the movie, so you likely won't even have gathered up your coat by then. But then there's another one post-credits that's also worth sticking around for.

Borderlands, but that's also not to say that Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is actually good either. This third movie ends up somewhere in the middle, making it less-than-essential viewing for anyone over the age of 10 who didn't grow up with a Genesis or a Dreamcast in the house.
