This came nine days after a brawl in which Henyard's boyfriend and Henyard herself were involved. But Henyard's boyfriend, Kamal Woods, had already been suspended for work performance.

Thornton Township trustees vote to fire Kamal Woods and William Moore, two members of Supervisor Tiffany Henyard’s adminsitration.

Thornton Township Trustee Stephanie Wiedeman moved to fire Henyard’s boyfriend Kamal Woods, who was hired by Henyard to run the township’s youth program. This came after he was involved in a brawl during a meeting last week.

The meeting is also the first since an independent investigation​ found widespread financial mismanagement in the troubled south suburb.

CBS2 reports that a member of the public took Supervisor Tiffany Henyard to task and used an expletive, sparking a brawl at Tuesday's meeting.

At the meeting, the board fired two township employees. As Jermont Terry reports, one of the workers the trustees fired was Kamal Woods, the boyfriend of Thornton Township Supervisor Tiffany Henyard.

During the brawl, Supervisor Tiffany Henyard herself ran from her seat at the table in the front of the room to intervene.
