On Caitlin Clark’s 23rd birthday, the basketball superstar is giving back through efforts to boost child literacy rates across the nation. On Wednesday, the former Hawkeye and current Indiana Fever player’s foundation announced a collaboration with publishing company Scholastic.

As part of that partnership, Scholastic announced its national literacy program, the United States of Readers, is donating 22,000 children's books. Those books will in turn be distributed to various children's reading programs.
