Lexi Thompson might be semi-retired, but she hasn’t stopped grinding. The 29-year-old announced last season that she was stepping away from a full-time schedule yet signed up for the first event she was eligible to play in 2025.

Thompson stepped away from the LPGA full-time after the 2024 season but shared why she’s playing the tour’s second event of 2025.

Lexi Thompson did say she was only retiring from full-time competition when she announced last year that she would be stepping away from the LPGA Tour. So, while it might be a bit surprising to see Thompson teeing it up this week at the Founders Cup presented by U.
