The front staircase of the Manhattan brownstone where Carrie Bradshaw lived in “Sex and the City” is getting a metal gate to keep away tourists who endlessly trespass and pose for pictures.

The owner of the building that served as the exterior of Sarah Jessica Parker's apartment made the request with the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission after the stoop has continued to be a "global tourist destination.
