India's top order batter Shubman Gill who was making his Ranji comeback for Punjab after 2022 scored just four runs against Karnataka.

India’s star-studded comeback in the Ranji Trophy fizzled out, with Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, and Shubman Gill falling cheaply for their respective teams in the penultimate round of the premier red-ball event on Thursday.

Veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was the only one who stood out among the battery of Indian stars as he took a five-wicket haul for Saurashtra to dismiss Pant's Delhi for 188 on a Rajkot turner. However, it was a forgettable outing for the rest as they made the slow walk back to the hut following early dismissals.
