Fellow Sega Genesis kids would agree that Miles “Tails” Prower has saved our asses countless times thanks to using his star features as a rotor. So seeing him bust that move out for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 in order to throw Sonic through G.U.N. Headquarters’ laser shield was something I could truly relate to.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3’ introduces Shadow (Keanu Reeves) to the Sonic films, along with Gerald Robotnik, and teases another villain for the future of the franchise.

Despite struggles to film Gerald and Ivo’s scenes together, Carrey embraced it as a worthwhile challenge and ended as the best thing of Sonic 3.

Sonic the Hedgehog may star the titular blue blur, but it also has a wide and varied cast of characters. Sonic has plenty of friends, from Tails the Fox and Knuckles the Echidna who frequently join him on his adventures to anti-heroes Shadow the Hedgehog and Rouge the Bat.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 gave fans what they wanted from the start of the film franchise in 2020: Shadow. He was teased at the end of the last movie and this third one does not waste time getting him onscreen.

Shadow was introduced in the post-credits scene of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, but the way he arrives in Sonic 3 is different from his first appearance.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 does not waste any time to get the ball rolling. It opens in Japan where Shadow is being held. He breaks out, causes some distractions, and then Team Sonic is called in to save the day in Japan.
