October 26 was Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, which is geared at keeping prescription drugs off the street. People could drop off their unused or un-necessary medication at different places to safely get them out of their home.

The Hailey Police Department collects a little over seven pounds of prescription drugs from the community for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

Officials state collection sites will be set up nationwide for expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs, which will be properly disposed of without threat to the environment for free, completely anonymous,
