The Indian stock market faced selling pressure for the fourth day on February 10, with Sensex dropping over 500 points to 77,189.04 and Nifty 50 falling to 23,382.

Indian markets saw another week of volatility but ended with slight gains, influenced by a mix of global and domestic factors. Going forward, investors will turn their attention to earnings reports and upcoming macroeconomic data,

At closing, the benchmark Sensex dropped 0.7 percent, or 548 points, settling at 77,311.80, while the Nifty50 index declined by 0.76 percent, or 178.35 points, to 23,381.60

The trends on Gift Nifty also indicate a negative start for the Indian benchmark index. The Gift Nifty was trading around 23,561 level, a discount of nearly 54 points from the Nifty futures’ previous close.

The BSE Sensex stood at 77,635.30, down 224.89 points or 0.29 per cent. Nifty stood at 23,495.35, down 64.60 points or 0.27 per cent.
