2016年12月20日 · I bought a set of exhibition Turkish walnut from a member on this sight, who imports a handful of blanks from Turkey. I sent my wood to Wenig, and they returned with an excuse it wasn't strong enough at the wrist. Exchanged the blank from previous seller, telling him my problem with Wenig, and I sent another blank set to Wenig with the same excuse.

2020年5月29日 · I’ve been shooting trap since the 1950s and I started having custom stocks made for my guns in the 1970s. I’ve had custom stocks made by Perazzi and numerous individual stock makers. Wenig has been the best when it comes to fitting the stock to me and their craftsmanship has been outstanding. Just my personal experience through the years.

2024年6月3日 · I have no complaints about their work. There some options available from Wenig re: finish, checkering pattern, and the type of gun.. Make sure you ask questions and also make sure they explain all of their charges before beginning the job whoever you end up using. (As a disclaimer, my stock was made back when Fred Wenig owned the business.

2024年3月10日 · All fit well, all are the New American design. No bondo try stock. I bought a Wenig custom stock used that fit my Browning XT. Fit me perfect. Had Wenig duplicate it for my 725 Skeet (they did so perfectly). One is a trap gun, one is a skeet gun, one is a sporting clays gun. Regards, Bob

2022年9月27日 · My custom Wenig stock on my Browning 725 Skeet broke last night while shooting in our skeet league. I took the gun to Wenig this morning. The stock bolt was the only thing holding it together. The stock was broken up both sides from the tang up to the top of the grip. They are replacing the stock, free of charge. No hassle, no questions asked.

Note the charge for wood, even though the gun owner provided the stock and forearm blanks Wenig still charged for the blanks based on his "grading" system. Basically a charge for NOT selling anything. Not bad - $1,300 profit with no expense for material. View attachment 1946787

Service after the sale (in my case) is nonexistant. I have $1900 worth of "custom Wood that was custom fit" in a box. It was my fault that three employees thought the wood fit.

2018年10月13日 · Wenig's website states that their version of the Aristocrat does feature a palm swell. 3) I've found that if a shooter requires a lot of comb offset to achieve best stock fit, it's sometimes a little more difficult to do with a cheekpiece-type stock, unless the stock has some cast/offset machined into it from the beginning.

2017年5月18日 · The company that remains is a modern business venture. Calling it Wenig is like calling Verizon Bell Telephone! I used to have my stocks turned by Fred at Fajen when he was the Shop foreman. But it is 2017 and that was back in the 1970's forty years ago. What little I know about The current incarnation of Wenig is mostly from unhappy customers!
